I think there is a UK/US divide on early FM which emerges whenever a thread like this comes up.

as a double album, with the Original Fleetwood Mac as the first LP of the set, I guess in the very early 1970s.Īny fan of the first proper FM release (the dog and dustbin cover) should try to hear the Original FM which I think were earlier recordings, probably made with Bob Brunning on bass before Peter Green was able to persuade John McVie to join up. HEROES ARE HARD TO FIND \ angel \ bad loser \ bermuda triangle \ born enchanter \ come a little bit closer \ coming home \ heroes are hard to find \ prove your love \ safe harbour \ she's changing me \ silver heels \Ĭlick to expand.I think English Rose was first released in the U.K.

MYSTERY TO ME \ believe me \ the city \ emerald eyes \ for your love (replaced "good things come to those that wait") \ forever \ hypnotized \ just crazy love \ keep on going \ miles away \ somebody \ the way i feel \ why \ PENGUIN \ road runner \ bright fire \ caught in the rain \ the derelict \ did you ever love me \ dissatisfied \ night watch \ remember me \ revelation \ I like the other 2 bands as well, but I still play those albums with Welch & McVie the most:įUTURE GAMES \ future games \ lay it all down \ morning rain \ sands of time \ show me a smile (show me a little of your love) \ sometimes \ what a shame \ woman of 1000 years \īARE TREES \ bare trees \ child of mine \ danny's chant \ dust \ the ghost \ homeward bound \ sentimental lady \ spare me a little of your love \ sunny side of heaven \ thoughts on a grey day \ In 1970 Christine Perfect put out a self titled album Christine Perfect on the Blue Horizon label, and that's blues. She eventually left and replaced Peter Green in Fleetwood Mac. While touring the UK in 1967, opening for Fleetwood Mac, Christine met John McVie, whom she later married. Following a host of drummers, Dave Bidwell became their permanent one in 1966/67. The original members included singer and pianist Christine Perfect, bass guitarist Andy Sylvester, guitarist Stan Webb (2), and saxophonist Chris Wood (2). Music On Vinyl just put out a nice reissue of this album.Ĭhicken Shack evolved from a Stourbridge, UK based band called Sounds Of Blue who were performing in the West Midlands area by early 1964. They where most likely working in the same studio as Fleetwood Mac, hell they might have gigged together. Something I found out not to long ago the band Chicken Shack was on the same label asįleetwood Mac and put out their fist album in 1968 (Forty Blue Fingers, Freshly Packed And Ready To Serve). BTW, if you like the Peter Green sound of electric blues maybe take a look at the Blue Horizon label for other artist.
